Our Commitment to Player Welfare

At MCB66, responsible gambling is not a legal checkbox we tick to satisfy regulators. It is a genuine operational commitment that runs through every layer of how we build and manage the platform. Our team includes dedicated player welfare staff whose sole focus is monitoring for signs of harmful play and ensuring the tools on this page actually work for members who need them.

We understand that for a small percentage of people, gambling can shift from a leisure activity to something more harmful. Problem gambling can affect anyone — regardless of age, income, education, or background. A player in Kuala Lumpur who bets on EPL for fun can develop unhealthy patterns just as readily as someone who plays live baccarat daily. The important thing is that the warning signs are recognisable and that support is accessible when they appear.

MCB66 enforces a strict 21+ age requirement on all accounts. We apply identity verification to all members before withdrawals are processed. We monitor for unusual betting patterns that may indicate problem gambling behaviour. And we invest in the tools on this page because we believe that a platform which genuinely protects its members is one worth trusting for the long term.

Age verification on every account. MCB66 enforces identity verification for all members. No withdrawal is processed without a completed KYC check confirming the member is 21 or older.
Responsible gambling tools built into the platform. Deposit limits, loss limits, session timers, cooling-off periods, and self-exclusion are all accessible directly from your account dashboard — no email required, no waiting.
Staff trained in player welfare. Our customer support team is trained to recognise signs of distress and escalate welfare concerns to our dedicated player protection team when needed.
We never market to vulnerable players. Members who have activated responsible gambling tools, cooling-off periods, or self-exclusion are immediately removed from all promotional marketing communications.
We will never pressure you to reverse limits. Once a deposit limit or self-exclusion is applied, MCB66 staff are prohibited from encouraging, facilitating, or recommending its reversal.
Your Player Protection Tools

Every MCB66 member has access to the following tools directly within their account dashboard. No forms, no waiting — set them immediately.

Deposit Limits

Set a maximum amount you can deposit into your MCB66 account over a daily, weekly, or monthly period. Once the limit is reached, further deposits are blocked until the period resets.

How it works: Go to Account Settings → Responsible Gambling → Deposit Limits. Enter your preferred limit and select the period. Limits take effect immediately. Reducing a limit applies instantly. Increasing a limit requires a 24-hour cooling period before it becomes active.
Loss Limits

Cap the total amount you can lose over a chosen period. When your net losses reach the set threshold, your account is temporarily restricted from further bets until the period expires.

How it works: Set daily, weekly, or monthly loss thresholds in MYR. The system tracks your net loss in real time. Once your limit is reached, bet placement is disabled for the remainder of the period. Losses are calculated on settled bets, not pending ones.
Session Time Limits

Set a maximum continuous play session duration. After the limit is reached, you will be automatically logged out and cannot log back in for a short cooling period.

How it works: Choose a session limit between 30 minutes and 8 hours. You will receive an on-screen alert at the 10-minute warning point. When time expires, the session ends automatically regardless of any active game round — active rounds are completed and results recorded first.
Reality Check Reminders

Enable periodic pop-up reminders that show you how long you have been playing and your net win/loss position for the current session, prompting you to reflect before continuing.

How it works: Set reminder intervals between 15 and 60 minutes. When triggered, a non-dismissable overlay shows your session duration, total bet volume, and current session net result. You must actively choose to continue or stop.
Cooling-Off Period

Take a temporary break from the platform for a set period. During a cooling-off period, deposits and betting are disabled, but you may still access your account to view history or request withdrawals.

Available periods: 24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days, 14 days, or 30 days. Cooling-off periods begin immediately upon activation. They cannot be reversed or shortened once applied. Promotional emails are suspended automatically for the duration.
Self-Exclusion

Permanently or long-term exclude yourself from the MCB66 platform. Self-exclusion is the most comprehensive protection tool available and is appropriate when other tools have not been sufficient.

Important: Self-exclusion periods range from 6 months to 5 years. Requests are processed within one business day. Your account is disabled, all marketing communications cease, and your data is flagged to prevent re-registration. Self-exclusion cannot be reversed during the exclusion period under any circumstances.
Example: How Limits Protect Your Budget
Daily Deposit
RM 300
Weekly Loss
RM 500
Session Time
2 hours
Monthly Deposit
RM 2,000

Setting multiple overlapping limits gives you layered protection. In this example, a player cannot deposit more than RM 300/day, cannot lose more than RM 500/week, and cannot play for more than 2 hours in any session.

21+ Age Requirement

Malaysia imposes a strict minimum gambling age of 21 years. MCB66 enforces this without exception through identity verification on every account.

Underage gambling is illegal and will not be tolerated. Any account found to belong to a person under the age of 21 will be immediately suspended, all funds frozen, and the matter referred to the appropriate authorities. Winnings on underage accounts are forfeited in full.

MCB66 requires all members to submit a valid Malaysian government-issued identity document — a MyKad (NRIC), Driver's Licence, or Passport bio-data page — as part of the KYC verification process before withdrawals are approved. Date of birth is cross-checked against the document to confirm the 21+ requirement is met.

We also encourage parents and guardians to use device-level parental controls and internet filtering software to prevent underage access to gambling platforms. If you believe a minor in your household has accessed MCB66, please contact our support team immediately so the account can be investigated and closed.

If you are struggling with your own gambling behaviour or are supporting someone who is, please see the support resources section below. Help is available in Malaysia and reaching out is the most important step.
Warning Signs of Problem Gambling

Gambling becomes a problem when it is no longer within your control or when it causes harm — financially, emotionally, or in your relationships. Recognising the signs early makes it far easier to address. The following are common indicators that gambling may have moved beyond entertainment.

Spending more money gambling than you originally intended or budgeted for, on a regular basis.
Chasing losses — returning to gambling specifically to try to win back money you have already lost.
Gambling with money intended for essential expenses — rent, utilities, groceries, loan repayments.
Feeling restless, irritable, or anxious when not gambling, or when trying to reduce or stop.
Concealing the amount of time or money spent gambling from family members or close friends.
Using gambling as a way to escape problems, relieve stress, or manage difficult emotions.
Borrowing money from friends, family, or financial institutions specifically to fund gambling.
Repeated unsuccessful attempts to cut back, control, or stop gambling despite wanting to do so.
Gambling causing noticeable problems in your relationships, employment, or financial stability.
Quick Self-Assessment

Answer these questions honestly. If you answer "yes" to two or more, we encourage you to take a closer look at your gambling habits and consider reaching out for support or activating one of our player protection tools.

Have you ever spent more on gambling than you could comfortably afford to lose?
Do you find yourself thinking about gambling frequently when you are not playing?
Have you ever gambled to try to recover money you had previously lost?
Has anyone close to you ever expressed concern about how much time or money you spend gambling?
Have you ever missed work, family commitments, or important responsibilities because of gambling?
Do you feel anxious, low, or irritable when you are unable to gamble for an extended period?
Have you borrowed money or sold possessions to fund gambling at any point?
Two or more "yes" answers? This is not a formal clinical assessment, but it is a reliable signal worth taking seriously. Consider activating a deposit limit, cooling-off period, or speaking to one of the support organisations listed on this page. There is no shame in reaching out — it is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Tips for Safer Gambling

These practical guidelines help most MCB66 members keep their gambling enjoyable and within healthy boundaries — even before any warning signs appear.

Only Gamble What You Can Afford to Lose

Before you deposit, decide on a fixed entertainment budget — an amount you are genuinely comfortable losing entirely. Treat it the same way you would a cinema ticket or a night out. When it is gone, the session is over. Set a deposit limit in your MCB66 account to enforce this automatically.

Set Time Boundaries Before You Start

Time passes quickly during gambling sessions — especially live casino and in-play sports betting. Set a session time limit in your account settings before you start playing, not during a session when it is easy to override. Use the Reality Check feature to receive mid-session alerts.

Never Chase Your Losses

Chasing losses is one of the most reliable early indicators of problem gambling. If you have reached your budget for the session and lost, the correct response is to stop — not to increase stakes or make additional deposits to try to recover. No session "owes" you a winning outcome.

Do Not Gamble When Emotional

Gambling while stressed, angry, lonely, or under the influence of alcohol significantly impairs decision-making and dramatically increases the risk of harmful patterns. If you find yourself opening MCB66 to relieve stress or negative emotions rather than for entertainment, take a break and use the cooling-off tool.

Take Regular Breaks

Step away from the screen regularly — even during a winning session. Take a walk, get a drink of water, or do something unrelated. Continuous play without breaks accelerates the loss of perspective on time and money spent. Our session reminder tool can automate these breaks for you.

Talk to Someone You Trust

If you are concerned about your own gambling or someone else's, talking about it openly is one of the most effective first steps. Whether it is a family member, close friend, or a professional counsellor from one of the resources listed on this page — you do not have to manage it alone.
